Some economic reports will impact the different markets thus causing erratic movements and produce high volatility a few minutes before, during and a few minutes after each announcement. Does it happen every time? No---sometimes absolutely nothing happens. Do some trade News, expecting that volatility and craziness to be a calculated part of their trading plan?? Absolutely!
This is why UProfit Trader has designed a list that will tell you which events to keep in mind that have the potential to move the market in unexpected ways. Above you can find the list of reports to consider.
Avoiding major News Events is a mandatory for our traders in UProfit Live Account. You must be out of news 1 minute before and 1 minute after the news event.
Check your news website, UProfit Important News Calendar, https://calendar.google.com/calendar/embed?src=uprofittrader.com_ak45aglsusdmrlr145drko8va0%40group.calendar.google.com&ctz=America%2FNew_York so that you are fully aware during the trading day of the news events that will be coming out for that day. A good rule you might choose to implement for yourself is to be aware of all news for the week on your first day of trading-- So Monday, you might open one of these sites and see what is in store for you for the remainder of the week.
After checking your chosen website--you notice that there will be news for Wednesday. This news happens to be FOMC Minutes.
Also, since FOMC will come out at 2, you can choose to repeat this same habit by closing out all trades around 1:58 (or you might find the need a few minutes before) and then will begin again when the market is no longer showing you erratic and unpredictable behavior. (With FOMC, it might take a few minutes longer to slow down).
