UPROFIT TRADER
TRADING BEST PRACTICES GUIDE
We build consistent traders, not one-day results.
Your Growth Starts With Sound Risk Management
At UProfit, we believe trading success is built on discipline, patience, and responsible risk management.
We want you to develop your skills, protect your accounts, and achieve sustainable results. That is why we created this guide: to help you understand trading best practices and support your growth as a trader.
Each section includes recommendations, trading parameters, and practical examples to help you make better decisions.
This guide applies to Evaluation, Live Virtual, and Live Funded accounts and supplements the terms of each program, the Trader Agreement, and UProfit's Terms and Conditions.
All examples refer to UProfit 50K accounts under the Flex and Soft programs. Always review the specific parameters of your program.
1. Your Accounts, Your Responsibility
Your results should reflect your own decisions and trading skills. To protect your account, place your own trades using your personal credentials and maintain a single user profile registered in your name.
You may trade with up to:
20 Evaluation accounts.
3 Live Virtual accounts.
1 Live Funded account.
These maximums apply per user across all programs and account sizes.
Copy Trading Between Your Accounts
You may replicate trades between accounts you own exclusively through UProfit's authorized, built-in tool.
Keep copied trades within your own accounts. Do not connect accounts belonging to different account holders or use third-party trade copiers. Each account holder must manage their accounts personally, without sharing login credentials or delegating the completion of evaluations.
50K account example: You have two 50K Live Virtual accounts and want to follow the same strategy in both. You open a long position in 1 MNQ contract in your primary account and use the official tool to replicate the trade in your second account. This is an appropriate practice because both accounts belong to you and you are using the authorized tool.
Our recommendation: Keep your credentials secure and make sure you retain full control over all your trades.
2. Give Your Strategy Time to Work
A sustainable strategy should be based on sound market analysis, controlled exposure, and decisions you can execute consistently over time.
You may place short-duration trades. What matters is maintaining a balanced proportion of such trades within your overall activity.
2.1. Scalping: Profitable Trades Lasting Less Than 60 Seconds
Profits from winning trades held for less than 60 seconds must account for less than 20% of the total profits generated by all winning trades during the review period. Only profits from winning trades are included in this calculation. Losing trades are excluded from both the numerator and the denominator.
Example Using Your 50K Account
During the review period, your winning trades generate USD 3,200 in total profits. Of that amount, USD 500 comes from winning trades held for less than 60 seconds.
Calculation: USD 500 ÷ USD 3,200 × 100 = 15.63%.
Your trading activity remains within the established parameter. If profits from trades lasting less than 60 seconds were USD 800, they would represent 25% of the total and exceed the permitted maximum.
Our recommendation: Avoid relying primarily on extremely short-term price movements. Set profit targets and protective levels that are consistent with your strategy.
2.2. Microscalping: Trades Lasting 10 Seconds or Less
Extremely short-duration trades require particular attention because they are sensitive to market execution conditions. To maintain a balanced trading approach, trades opened and closed in 10 seconds or less must account for less than 30% of all trades during the review period. Both winning and losing trades are included. The review period begins after your most recent approved payout or, if you have not yet received one, when the account was opened. This parameter is assessed independently of the scalping parameter for trades lasting less than 60 seconds.
Example Using Your 50K Account: During the review period, you execute 100 trades:
75 last longer than 10 seconds.
25 last 10 seconds or less.
The latter account for 25% of your total activity, keeping you within the established parameter. If 30 of your 100 trades lasted 10 seconds or less, they would account for 30% of all trades, which would not meet the requirement to remain below 30%.
Our recommendation: Review your trade durations regularly and avoid relying on extremely rapid executions.
3. Manage Your Trading Volume Throughout the Session
Sound risk management also means controlling how many contracts you trade during the day.
The maximum cumulative volume per user is:
50 E-mini contracts per trading session, or
350 Micro E-mini contracts per trading session.
Opening trades and increases in position size across all your accounts count toward the cumulative total. Closing trades are not counted a second time.
The trading session begins at 6:00 p.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m. the following day, U.S. Eastern Time (ET), in accordance with the market calendar.
Example Using Your 50K Account
During one session, you make 10 entries of 3 NQ contracts each, totaling 30 E-mini contracts. You then make another 6 entries of 3 NQ contracts each, bringing your cumulative total to 48 contracts.
You remain within the daily maximum of 50. One additional entry of 3 NQ contracts would bring your total to 51 contracts, exceeding the established maximum.
Our recommendation: Keep track of your entries and increases in position size, especially when trading multiple accounts.
4. Protect Your Drawdown and Build Sustainable Results
Your available drawdown represents the margin for managing market fluctuations and continuing to develop your strategy. At UProfit, we encourage responsible exposure, avoiding an excessive concentration of that capacity in a single decision.
To ensure the sustainability of your trading, keep the following parameters in mind:
Keep your risk below 50% of your available drawdown on any single trade or group of related positions.
Avoid having 40% or more of your total profits come from a single trade when that concentration is part of an excessively risky trading strategy.
Aim to pass evaluations and qualify for payouts through a sustainable strategy rather than through one to three trades involving extraordinary risk exposure.
Manage each account responsibly. Do not deliberately incur losses in some accounts to benefit other accounts, whether your own or those of third parties.
Example 1: 50K Flex Account
In a 50K Flex account, you have USD 2,000 in available drawdown. You decide to open a position of 3 NQ contracts with a 17-point stop-loss. Each NQ point is worth USD 20 per contract:
17 points × USD 20 × 3 contracts = USD 1,020 at risk.
This trade accounts for 51% of your available drawdown, excluding commissions and slippage.
A more conservative alternative would be to trade 1 NQ contract with the same stop-loss:
17 points × USD 20 × 1 contract = USD 340 at risk.
This reduces your exposure to 17% of your available drawdown, leaving you with more margin to manage future opportunities.
Example 2: 50K Soft Account
In a 50K Soft account, suppose you have USD 1,500 in available drawdown when opening a trade. You decide to buy 2 NQ contracts with a 20-point stop-loss.
20 points × USD 20 × 2 contracts = USD 800 at risk.
You would be exposing approximately 53.33% of your available drawdown.
If you reduce your position to 1 NQ contract, your risk would be USD 400, equivalent to 26.67% of your available drawdown.
In a Soft account, it is particularly important to check your available drawdown before each entry, taking into account how its maximum loss mechanism functions.
Example 3: Distribute Your Results Across Trades
You have a 50K Flex evaluation account and accumulate USD 3,000 in profits from winning trades.
A single trade generates USD 1,250.
This represents 41.67% of your profits from winning trades.
Profit concentration may prompt a review, but it does not, by itself, define an excessive-risk trading practice. Position size, risk exposure, and trading history will also be evaluated.
Our recommendation: Sound risk management aims to protect your ability to continue trading, rather than focusing solely on achieving a profit target.
5. Keep Your Trading Decisions Independent
Each trader must make their own decisions and manage their positions independently.
To maintain transparent market exposure, avoid taking opposing positions intended to offset risk across your own accounts, other users' accounts, or accounts held with other brokers or proprietary trading firms.
This guideline encompass the same or correlated instruments, such as:
ES/MES, NQ/MNQ, YM/MYM, RTY/M2K, CL/MCL, and GC/MGC.
You may trade with other firms as long as you do not use those accounts to hedge or offset positions held with UProfit.
Likewise, trade entries and exits must reflect each trader's independent decisions, without arrangements intended to share risk or generate artificial results.
Example 1: Hedging Across Your 50K Accounts
You buy 2 NQ contracts in a 50K Live Virtual account.
At the same time, you sell 20 MNQ contracts in another account you own to offset that exposure.
Although the instruments have different contract sizes, these positions represent opposing exposures to the same market.
The proper approach is to manage each position without using another account to neutralize its risk.
Example 2: Coordination Between Traders
You and a friend each have a 50K account.
Both of you study the market and may identify similar opportunities. This is normal.
However, each of you must make your own decisions independently, without arrangements to systematically replicate entries and exits or share risk.
Example 3: Personal Use of Accounts
A family member has a 50K evaluation account and asks you to trade it while they are traveling.
To protect the integrity of both profiles, each account holder must personally trade their own account.
Important note: Sharing an internet connection, learning from the same educator, or placing trades that happen to coincide does not, by itself, establish coordinated trading. The Compliance department will evaluate the available evidence as a whole.
Our recommendation: Maintain the independence of your decision-making and ensure that every outcome reflects your own strategy.
6. Use Authorized Technology and Connections
Technology is an excellent tool for improving your analysis and making more informed decisions.
To ensure a secure and transparent experience, use only platforms, connections, and tools authorized by UProfit.
Automated systems, bots, algorithms, or artificial intelligence tools that place or manage orders require written authorization from UProfit.
Market integrity conditions must also be respected, avoiding mechanisms that exploit artificial price discrepancies, delayed market data, latency, or execution errors.
Example Using Your 50K Account
You use an analysis tool to identify support and resistance zones on NQ.
The tool helps you study the market, and you personally decide when to execute your trades.
By contrast, an external system that automatically places orders to take advantage of a delay in the prices displayed on the platform does not align with authorized practices.
Connections and Location
Trade from your actual location using reliable, authorized connections.
To maintain transparent access records, avoid using unauthorized VPNs, VPSs, proxies, remote desktops, or other mechanisms that conceal or alter the origin of your connection.
If you travel to another country where UProfit provides its services, notify the Compliance department in advance and use a connection that shows your actual location.
Example Using Your 50K Account
You live in Colombia and travel to Mexico for one week.
Before traveling, notify the Compliance department, and once there, trade from your laptop using a local connection that shows your actual location.
This allows your activity to be verified accurately.
Our recommendation: Protect your devices and consult the Compliance department before incorporating new tools or changing your usual trading location.
7. Protect Your Identity and Payment Information
Your identity and financial information are essential to your account's security.
Keep your information up to date, use authentic documents, and make purchases and request payouts using payment methods registered in your name or otherwise duly authorized.
Use a single personal profile and protect your credentials so that all trading activity can be attributed to the rightful account holder.
Example Using Your 50K Account
You purchase a 50K evaluation using your own payment method and complete identity verification with your personal identification documents.
This facilitates the validation of your information and the processing of your requests.
If you use a payment method belonging to another person, the Compliance department may request additional documentation to verify the necessary authorization.
Our recommendation: Keep your receipts, ensure your information is up to date, and never share your login credentials.
8. Compliance Reviews and Verification
Risk & Compliance reviews are part of our commitment to transparency and fair conditions for all traders.
UProfit may conduct preventive, routine, or extraordinary reviews of trading activity, identity, devices, connections, payment methods, and related profiles.
All payout requests are subject to verification.
When an audit is required, the user's Evaluation, Live Virtual, and Live Funded accounts will be temporarily suspended until the review is completed. This is a preventive measure and does not constitute a final decision on the matter.
How Does an Audit Work?
You will receive a notice from the official Compliance email address.
We may request explanations, documents, or trading records.
You will have up to 3 business days to respond.
When necessary, we may invite you to attend a video interview.
UProfit will have a maximum of 5 business days to resolve the review, in accordance with the timeframes established in this guide.
The decision will be communicated in writing.
Example Using Your 50K Account
You request a payout from your 50K Live Virtual account.
During verification, we identify recurring similarities between your trading activity and another account holder's trading activity.
The Compliance department notifies you that a review is underway and requests information to confirm that both parties are trading independently.
You provide the relevant records, and the review confirms that your activity aligns with Best Practices.
Your accounts are reactivated, and your payout proceeds through the standard validation process.
Our recommendation: Keep your records and respond promptly to requests for information. Clear communication facilitates any verification process.
9. Compliance with Best Practices and Program Protection Measures
The Trading Best Practices are mandatory conditions for participating in UProfit programs; they are intended to safeguard the integrity of trading activities, transparency, and equal conditions for all traders.
The Risk & Compliance Department may review trading activity, connection logs, devices used, identity information, payment methods, and any other technical or documentary elements necessary to verify compliance.
9.1. Account Closure and Cancellation of Benefits
When Risk & Compliance determines, based on verifiable evidence, that a trader has violated the Trading Best Practices, UProfit will proceed with the immediate and permanent closure of all the user’s accounts, including Evaluation, Live Virtual, and Live Funded accounts, as well as any accounts registered in the names of third parties whose involvement in such conduct has been established.
This measure will include the cancellation of any profits, rewards, and pending payout requests associated with the affected accounts, with no right to withdraw or receive payment of those amounts, subject to the Trader Agreement and applicable law.
9.2. Related Accounts and Profiles
UProfit may identify and evaluate related profiles based on identity matches, devices, IP addresses, payment methods, connections, trading patterns, and other available technical evidence.
When it is established that multiple accounts, belonging to the same individual or to third parties, have been used in coordinated manner to engage in practices that violate UProfit’s terms, all accounts involved will be closed immediately and permanently, without prejudice to any additional restrictions applicable to their respective account holders.
An isolated match involving an IP address, device, or location shall not, by itself, be sufficient to establish a third party's participation.
9.3. Notification and Resolution
Decisions will be made by the Risk & Compliance department, documented in the relevant case file, and formally communicated to affected account holders through the official Compliance channel.
UProfit reserves all rights and remedies provided under the Trader Agreement, the Terms and Conditions, and applicable law.
