Hey UProfiter! 🚀 Copy Trading lets you trade a single account and automatically replicate your trades across the rest of your accounts. To get the most out of it, it's key to understand what gets replicated and what doesn't. Here's how it works.
🎯 Main Account: Where you should trade
When you activate the tool, you select one account as your main account. This is the only account where you should carry out all of your trade management:
✅ Opening positions ✅ Stops (stop loss) ✅ Targets (take profit) ✅ Manual closes
All trade management — from opening the position to closing it — must be done exclusively from the main account.
🔁 Replicated Accounts: What's copied and what isn't
Replicated accounts only copy entry and exit orders (buys and sells). Stops and targets are not replicated.
This means that if you open a position in the main account with a stop and a target, and then check a replicated account, you'll see:
✅ The open position ❌ No visible stop ❌ No visible target
Stop and target levels only exist on the main account — that's where you need to manage them.
📌 What happens when the market hits the stop or target?
When price reaches the stop or target set on the main account, the position closes automatically. That close is replicated across the rest of your accounts.
Example:
- You open a position on your main account with a defined stop and target.
- On your replicated accounts, you see the same position open, but without a stop or target.
- Price reaches the target on the main account → the position closes.
-
That close is automatically replicated across all your replicated accounts.
⚠️ What happens if you place a Stop or Target on a replicated account
Since stops and targets aren't replicated, any stop or target you place manually on a replicated account is registered as an independent order, with no connection to the position that arrived there through replication from the main account.
This can trigger an unwanted trade. For example:
- You open a buy on the main account and set your stop.
- On a replicated account, you manually place a stop (something you shouldn't do).
- Price reaches the stop on the main account → a close order is sent to both the main account and the replicated account.
-
On the replicated account, the original position closes correctly through replication... but the stop you placed manually also triggers, and since there's no longer a position to close, that order executes as a new, independent trade you didn't intend to open.
📌 That's why it's essential to trade only from the main account while Copy Trading is active. Placing stop or target orders directly on a replicated account can leave you with open positions you never meant to take.
